Worried about voting?

For those of you away at school (or away on business), maybe you are worried about getting home on election day to cast your tender little vote. Well, don't worry. There is an alternative to cutting class.

Option 1: You can vote by mail. Follow the instructions under "Absentee Voting By Mail". But don't delay --- you have to fax in your application for a ballot and then they send you a ballot by mail, which you then have to mail back so it gets to them by election day (Nov 7).

Options 2: If you will be in town before then, you can also vote "absentee in person". From October 30 through November 3, you can vote Absentee at the following locations:

  • Cobb Elections Main Office, West Park Government Center, 736 Whitlock Ave., Suite 400, Marietta, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
  • East Cobb Government Service Center, 4400 Lower Roswell Rd., Marietta, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • South Cobb Government Service Center, 4700 Austell Road, Austell, Monday – Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • West Cobb Parks & Recreation District Office, Lost Mountain Park, Dallas Highway, Marietta, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • North Cobb Senior Center (at Kennworth Park), 4100 Highway 293 (Old 41), Acworth, Monday – Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

There are more instructions at the Cobb County Board of Elections web site.
