Foo Fighters Tickets

Hi everyone.
David and I really want to go to the Foo Fighters show in ATL next Thrusday (I have to go to a concert for a class) but the show is sold out. If anyone knows of anyone selling one or two tickets, we want to take them off their hands. Keep your ears and eyes open for us.
Love from,
Kacie

Cabins in Blue Ridge

Hey guys. I know mum was interested in this, and I finally found out that there was a website.

The cabin Korey's step-dad is working on right now...

It's kind of unusual for most of the cabins he's built. You can see from the views how low on the mountain it is. You'd never usually be able to see a lake that well on a mountain. It's more family (young kid) friendly or old retired couple friendly that the last cabin I saw that he built.

It's got a pretty nice price-tag, if you noticed, haha! But the land itself was $80,000!!

To mum: They're still talking about having a cook-out on this cabin with you guys. Probably a week or two after my surgery when the leaves get real pretty.

The Red and Black

Hey gang.
So someone half-wit posted this darling little op-ed piece in the Red and Black yesterday, about how the only path to salvation was Jesus Christ and what not (after she said she did not look to convert anyone, ha!) so I actually wrote my first LETTER TO THE EDITOR yesterday. I was rather inspired after seeing a bumper sticker on a car that read "Nothing Fails Like a Prayer."

Anyway, the entire piece can be read here, if you want a good laugh.
If I get printed in the paper, I will let you guys know.

In other Red and Black news, guess who was splashed all over the front page Thursday getting his copy of the SEC Girls Playboy signed by the bunnies?

My precious exboyfriend, Dan!

Don't recognize him? Don't worry, neither did I!!! It wasn't til I was reading the caption I knew it was him!! It was an amusing way to start my morning. On an unrelated note, none other than the guy I dated fall semester who was talking about marriage was the one who took the picture.
I did have to sit through two classes, however, listening to people say (before class) things like "Look at this sad loser!" and "What a way to get in the paper!" :)

Anyway. I miss everyone!
Love,
Kacie

Family Vacation?!?!?

So, we're kicking around the idea of one last family vacation...

Looking at everyone's schedules, the only possible date would be around Memorial Day, May 24 or 25, 2008. We haven't decided where we are going yet, and while we will consider suggestions, our budget (and good sense) will have the final say.

For a number of reasons, including the fact that we are old fuddy-duddies, we have already decided that we won't be bringing along any boyfriends (or girlfriends, for heaven's sake) . So, sorry about that, but the decision is final.

And while we would really like everyone to come along, we also understand that you are mostly all GROWNUPS yourselves now, with commitments and such, and it might not be possible for you to go. We'll understand.

We'll be trying to get some kind of head count so we can start planning. So if you have any questions or comments, feel free to fire away....

Remember When?

I posted this on my Facebook page, but I wanted everyone to see it.

Mike's Travel Calendar

Check out the update to Mike's Travel Schedule! I linked it to Google Calendar so it will be a lot easier to update now. Which is cool.

Not so cool is the fact that after this long stretch at home, there will be a long stretch of being on the road through the rest of September and much of October... but the schedule is subject to change, even at the last minute.
