busy week!!

It sure has been busy around here lately. Here are some of the highlights:

Of course, number one, congratulations to Cheyenne for graduating High School! We had a nice dinner at Magic Wok on Friday night to celebrate, and then Mike & I went to the graduation ceremony on Saturday. Despite the fact that she had to wait through 500 names till they got to the V's, Cheyenne sure was beaming when they finally called her and she walked across that stage! To top things off, she got a 4.0 on her final semester report card. So she had lots to be proud of.

Also, Veronica was on stage too; she sang with the chorus during the ceremony. And she got an excellent report card as well. We did a little shopping to celebrate!

Speaking of Veronica, only another week till she takes her driver's test... We all wish her luck!

Emma has been busy in her new co-op job. She's having lots of fun, getting to organize dirt and such. No hard hat for her yet! But she did get to drive a big truck to Carrolton and measure a hole!

A nice surprise tonight, Shauna was over for a visit! I'm very pleased to say she seems to be doing GREAT. She looked so well, and is taking good care of things for herself, working and making plans for the future. It was so nice to see her doing well.

Kacie has been busy trying to keep up with school and her internship at the magazine. It's not easy, with a 90-mile commute and no car! She'll be over tomorrow night for dinner with Adam, since he is kindly driving her back and forth tomorrow. I can't wait to see one of the issues she worked on, and hear the behind the scenes story!

Twila was over last night for a Memorial Day cookout. It was great to see her, since it seems she's been pretty scarce lately. She's managing well, keeping up her search for a job. Too bad they don't have internships for puzzle-building --- Cheyenne will be excited to hear that Twi managed to get almost halfway through that very hard jigsaw puzzle in a couple of hours! It was truly amazing.

George is out of school and already enjoying the summer vacation. He's been playing football, swimming, biking and I also saw him carrying tennis rackets out the door --- and that was all just today!

Mike is in Houston today, but he will be back tomorrow. A short week, because of the holiday. He will have three weeks on the road after this, but then he has a week of jury duty; then it's VACATION!!!! I have to get on to updating the travel schedule; time flies so fast that before I get it posted, it's over and done.

What else... oh, pic of the week, found while searching on "Summer Vacation":
