With folks leaving Facebook, and also spread out all over the country, I decided it was time to reactivate our family blog!! It may take me a while to get things worked out; they forced me to change the design and I can't find our old links yet! But feel free to post in the meantime. I'm going to share the link with a few extra family members, such as Gary and Donna, as they've been accustomed to seeing us on fb and miss you all now!

Pictures for Grandma
I wanted Grandma to see the pictures we took in PA.
This is a silly picture from Kraynak's
On the way home we stopped at the New River Bridge and took a bunch of pictures.
Our cat sitting on the puzzle of North American Trees we bought at Kraynak's...
Me in a dress on a way to a cocktail party...

Happy Mother's Day!
Happy Mother's Day to all our mother's, especially mine!
Thought I'd post these pictures from this weekend we spent at Bear Island for our Anniversary. This island is 3.5 miles long and .5 miles wide on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. We got to take a fun little ferry over there. Plus it was a nice cheap vacation...
Here is me on the dock before we got on the ferry.

Brad on the dock..

Me once we got to the beach on the island!

Here is our tent at our campsite among the beautiful dunes.

Pretty large crab we found on the beach!

Hammock's Beach State Park sign as our ferry pulled up to the island (Click on the picture for a larger version!).

Photos from when Brad's Family Visited!
Here are a few photos from when Bradley's father, Gordon, and his sister, Emily came to visit us in Durham last month.
Emily and I at the new frozen yogurt place, yummy!

Bradley and his Dad! They didnt know Emily was going to take this I think..

Me at the interesting water feature downtown.

Bradley sitting on an old tractor on display in the Tobacco district in Durham.

Mr. Handziuk, Emily, and Bradley...a beautiful family!

This is the Duke chapel, very beautiful inside and out!

More pics of life in N.C.
Some of these are getting old but I wanted Grandma to see them. The first batch is from a hike we took at the end of January through Falls Lake State Park. Then there are pictures of the Herb Garden that Bradley made (I helped stain it!). We are planning to plant it pretty soon. And the last set of pictures is from this past weekend when we rode our bikes into downtown Durham.

Just a few apartment photos...
Here are a few pictures from our apartment, I will take more soon once I clean up a little bit more!
So this is one side of our kitchen, the oven and everything.

This is ME in the kitchen. We hung this mirror (or I should say Bradley hung the mirror) over the kitchen sink. When you are standing at the sink you can see out the window which is on the opposite wall. Very nice feature while washing dishes.

This is the cutlery holder that Bradley expertly designed and built himself to perfectly fit all of our cutlery! He was very proud of it and it was very useful. Much nicer than what we could have bought in a store. On the left side you will see the pot holders that I crocheted!

And this is our brand new (used) couch in our living room.

YAY!
I'm not sure if you all can tell what this is, but I'll tell you. Its my computer screen after I submitted my application to Duke University! and that was the last one I had to submit! So now I just have to wait to hear back from schools...for a few months...
Thanks to everyone who supported this process by giving me Christmas and graduation money! I couldn't have paid the fees without your help. and thanks to Mom and Brad for proofreading.
Happy New Year to all!
